An international protagonist on the textile scene, EUROJERSEY is renowned for having created and developed Sensitive®, a patented innovation which, in the course of time, has become a range of high performing fabrics that is known and worldwide appreciated.
The mission of EUROJERSEY, which ever since 1960 has been located in the present production plant of Caronno Pertusella, is that of delivering excellence in terms of product quality, through the development of manufacturing processes having the least possible environmental impact.
By doing so, EUROJERSEY also sets out to enhance the awareness of its own teamwork at all levels of the organisation, by providing them with adequate information and inviting them to come up with ideas and suggestions that may be put into practice, in order to create an
on-going process of improvement with regards to environmental issues, both within the company and beyond.
With regards to the evaluation and constant monitoring of the main factors of environmental impact produced by the company, such as water discharge and the use of energy resources, the afore-mentioned concepts find their practical interpretation in the following measures:
- A constant corporate commitment to conform to regulations regarding environmental issues and safety in the workplace.
- Investments in state-of-the-art systems and machinery, designed to improve product quality, as well as to save water/energy resources.
- Optimization of waste reduction with particular attention to the recycling and
reutilisation
of materials.
- Participation of the team in training sessions regarding environmental topics.
- Investment in depuration systems to limit emissions.
- Investment in systems for recovering the energy and water used in the production cycle.
- Investment in renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic systems, as well as the
exclusive use of certified electrical power deriving from renewable sources (Recs).
- Implementation, in the course of 2008, of an ISO 14001 system of environmental
management and attainment of the Environmental Product Declaration (EDP).
